As a brand under the Brooks England roof but , PEdAL ED focuses on apparel that combines timeless style with the high quality materials. In the case of the Mido riding boots, the water resistant leather upper is combined with a low profile Vibram sole. Made by Diemme in Italy, the boot adds a reinforced toe cap along with a low cut ankle design to make it comfortable to pedal in while still offering much of the support found in a hiking boot.

Available in black, brown, green, and Bordeaux leather each boot ships with three different laces – tone on tone, contrast, and black reflective. While expensive at $318 (260€), the Italian made boots would make an excellent option for winter commuters, tourers, and bike packers.

Beautiful boot, but at that price I’d be scared to see how they actually looked after a bit of use on and off the bike.

For $318 I’d expect a leather shroud to conceal those laces.

I’m confused why these are cycling specific boots. And for that price I’d probably ditch the hipster boot and get a real boot. Water resistant? Really? I’d love to see how they keep water out of that massive tongue. That looks more like a water trap than anything.

Are you serious? You can buy boots for a lot less that will provide the same function. Save your money.
