Love Rolf wheels but looking to get a pair that stands out from the crowd? Due to a rising interest in custom colored decal requests, Rolf is launching the Prima Plus Program. Starting with the Rolf Ares, TdF, Vigor, or Elan, customers can pick out one of nine standard colors for a custom set of die cut decals that are made to order. For now, the Prima Plus program includes the nine colors shown above for an additional $70 over the price of each wheelset. Each graphic is die cut and applied to the rim on a per order basis. According to Rolf they have the ability to do other colors, though custom options outside of the current range will come with an additional price. As demand continues to increase for custom wheel finishes, Rolf plans to continue to add options…
…possibly even something like this. Utilizing a ceramic coating that gives the rim its Robin’s Egg Blue hue, Rolf claims the finished product is no heavier than the standard anodized rim. As it sits, this is just an eye catching prototype for show purposes, but if enough customers voice their desire for something similar Rolf will seriously consider it. Apparently the coating will work for both rim and disc brake rims, but disc brake rims guarantee the color will stay fresh.
