2016-BH-G7-aero-race-road-bike-teaser-1

Soon to rule the roost over the current G6, the upcoming BH G7 aero road bike changes the frame dramatically without making it unrecognizable as the heir to the throne.

From what we can tell, the seatstays drop to meet the seat tube well below the top tube junction, and they now bow outward slightly rather than inward. We played with this teaser image’s levels and posted the current model below, check it out and click to enlarge…

Above, the upcoming BH G7, and below is the current G6.

We suspect this new bike will debut at Eurobike in a couple weeks, stay tuned!

The lack of brakes and the airbrushed section around the axles implies that this is the next aero frame, disk brake, road bike. Popcorn anyone?

…As well as the hints of calipers and the presence (and positioning) of a front brake line.

Looks pretty unremarkable to me. With all the big hitters coming out with super integrated bikes, this looks like a budget aero road bike(surely it won’t be). No foresight needed, the cool stuff is already out, why come out with something that competes with the last generation of bikes?

@VeganPotter I think it may be time for your nap… You are a consistently negative presence in BR comment section, maybe there is something more positive or constructive you could find to do with your time than spewing a bunch of garbage about a bike that you have not actually seen or (most importantly) ridden before?

hydro discs, OBVIOUSLY. Look at the shifters!

SomePeople…its a nice looking bike, I’ll admit that. This page is open to comments, that’s what I’m doing. There is nothing saying that all comments need to be complimentary;)

That said(with your mentality), saying nice stuff about a bike you’ve never seen or ridden is equally useless

Hydro brakes for sure – the big shifters are the give away. Now if it is light and can do climbing duty this would be an unreal bike. I am of the opinion that disc brakes make perfect sense for those that climb and come back down, i.e. a climbing style of bike. But to me aero bikes as they are now, being heavier, are more suited for the flats which really doesn’t need the advantage of disc brakes. But a light, aero disc brake would be awesome. Comfortable would be nice too…

BH make good bikes. Like Cervelo they have resisted the proprietary brakes and integrated bar stems and no moving parts/flaps on the frame that are a potential source of irritating malfunctions.
Clean simple design that works well is far better than gimmicks.
A lightweight aero bike with discs would be a great all rounder.

Well I have owned a G6 and an Ultralight. I will say that they are some of the best riding bikes i have ever owned. The only AERO bike that I have ridden that had a better feel for in handling, climbing and descending is the Wilier Cento Air.

The biggest issue that BH has in the USA is they are an unknown because the lack of marketing and PR. Sad that is what it takes but it is true. The big three bike companies do not make better bikes than everyone else they just spend a lot in marketing to make you believe that they do.

I swap between road wheels and CX wheels on my top end cyclocross bike, just holding off on a new roadie until more like this hit the market and road discs settle down a bit. Disc brakes, love it ! Very nice BH.

it very likely uses disc brakes. Which means it’s not aero and for sure not light. And if it uses thru-axles, then it won’t be comfortable either. But ya, other than that, I guess disc brakes are alright.
