Is it warm where you are? Reader Alan Boon sent in this photo (and a couple below the fold) of his recent ride “along One Fullerton waterfront with the Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum, and Singapore Flyer in the background”. His GPS was reading 44°C (111°F), yikes!

Check out a couple other shots he took on his ride around Singapore that weekend after the break, to get a better view of what’s behind the railing his Italian-made titanium Rewel is perched up against…

We always love seeing photos or where you ride and want to share them with our readers around the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your pics with a brief description here.

That’s the waterfront with the three towers of the Marina Bay Sands hotel, the white lotus-shaped ArtScience Museum, and the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel.

That half-lion, half-fish is called Merlion, and is at the heart of Singapore’s Merlion Park.

“His GPS was reading 44°C (111°F), yikes!”

This reading is most likely invalid! Exposing the GPS to direct sunlight produces incorrect high readings. Singapore is definitely a hot and humid country, but it doesn’t have the extreme desert temperatures of say Nevada or Arizona. The true temperature in Singapore was most likely in the 80s or low 90s.

Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevenson_screen on how to make correct temperature readings.
