Crankbrothers already offers hand pumps in the klic, sterling, and gem lines, but now they’re adding a full run of floor pumps as well.

Starting with the basics, the Gem is a $49 pump that features a dual valve locking head, and a high volume/high pressure foot swtich.

But the most interesting pump in the line would have to be the klic floor pump which hides a number of magnetic tricks up its sleeve. To start, the pressure gauge and hose assembly is stored in the handle, while the base of the hose magnetically attaches to the inside of the pump to lock the handle for transportation. To use, simply remove the gauge and hose, then click klic into the receptacle on the outside of the pump. The magnets form an airtight seal, but the gauge is still allowed to rotate to make inflation a bit easier.

There’s also the option of a $129 digital version compared to the $99 analog head. Both have a reversible chuck to use with presta or schrader valves.

Continuing with the modular theme, there is also a pump canister for inflating tubeless tires. The canister connects to the klic pump for inflation, and you can either attach the hose and gauge directly to the pump/canister combo, or you can remove the canister once it’s filled and use it separately from the pump. The canister should hold enough to seat two tubeless tires, and it has a simple lever to control the flow of air. klic pumps will be available with or without the canister, and the canister will likely be available separately, though price is TBD.

On the wheel side of things, crankbrothers has a new Opium 3 DH wheelset which will be available in 27.5 or 29″. Running a 28mm internal width, the tubeless wheelset will be their newest entry level option at $750.

Moving on to pedals, the Candy sees a new body style for the 1, 2, and 3 models with a slightly bigger platform and new clip on inserts to tune the platform thickness. The inserts will be included with the 3s ($135), not included but compatible with the 2s ($99), and they are not compatible with the 1s ($60).

The Eggbeater 3s and Candy 7s stay the same, but crankbrothers is adding a new Electric Blue option to the mix.

My gen3 Cobalt3 wheels have been awesome. Running them on a rigid steel singlespeed and they stay true through some punishing rides.

Must the eggbeaters be rebuilt once a season still?
