After a number of tough years, Floyd Landis has rebounded through his new company Floyd’s of Leadville. We recently covered Floyd’s and their all-natural CBD oil that claims to relieve pain and mitigate inflammation. At the time the hemp-based products weren’t endorsed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) due to them having the potential of containing trace amounts of psychoactive THC, but since then the WADA has removed cannabidiol (CBD) from their list of prohibited substances for the 2018 season.

Which for competing athletes means more natural ways of dealing with pain after injuries, in addition to reducing swelling and inflammation #dontgetswole. In tandem, with the new exceptions to the rules, Floyd’s is now offering a larger soft-gel capsule and liquid tinctures.

Floyd's of Leadville tincture 50mg capsules

New CBD Products:

New to their line of CBD oil offerings are 50mg oil capsules and 600-1200mg tincture bottles. The capsules provide a month’s supply of 30 servings for $90 and contain Omega -3, 6 and GLA. While the tinctures come in 600mg and 1200mg sizes. Each drop of the tincture contains about 2.66mg of CBD which allows riders to balance their intake with their personal needs. Naturally, the tincture bottles also contain the same essential fatty acids and cost $55 for the small and $85 for the large bottles.

Do you want to get high? There are cheaper ways.

Yes, I am aware of the cheaper ways. I just was not aware of any WADA sanctioned superdank. Whether or not I want to get high is irrelevant.

No, it is the THC in cannabis that gets you “high”. This is a THC free (or nearly THC free) cannabis extract which has high levels of CBD, a compound which has other medicinal properties.

It won’t get you high, but CBD always makes me feel kind of loose and relaxed without any side effects. I haven’t tried Floyd’s, but I’ve found most CBD products to be pretty mellow, which I like. I wish I could say the same for other edibles nowadays….

So is trace THC still a problem with WADA, even if they have removed CBD itself from the prohibited list?

I just watched “Icarus” and there was not a single mention of this stuff. So it must not be good.
