bikerumor pic of the day This photo was taken from "the balcony", a rock cliff over Pueblo Escondido (Hidden Town), an abandoned Tungsten mining town in San Luis, Argentina.

Photo submitted by Luis Hernán Otegui, “This photo was taken from ‘the balcony’, a rock cliff over Pueblo Escondido (Hidden Town), an abandoned Tungsten mining town in San Luis, Argentina. I rode there with some of the members of our MTB club, Amukan BTT. The path travels through some of the most beautiful landscapes over the Comechingones Sierras, and the obvious dessert is a wonderful downhill to the old town.”

We always love to see your photos and would like to show them to the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your photo with a brief description here.

I would never think to bring a selfie stick on a ride but that worked out kinda cool.

It’s actually a telescoping seat post/selfie stick, one of the endless cycling related Kickstarter campaigns we see here every day. Don’t leave home without it!

I must say I am envious of where they are riding. Great photo.

Hey, so stoked to get the POD! Thanks guys!

@mudrock: one of the guys got a new GoPro and got a bit overexcited. He took almost all the accessories to that ride, including the telescoping monopod/selfie stick.

@Bob: I hear you, I wanted to take that particular trip since 20 years ago, and finally did it. It included a hard climb to a visit one of the mine shafts, followed by one of the hardest descents I’ve ever done, by the path you can see a little to the upper left in the picture. I’m talking loose rocks the size of a bucket here… Anyway, it was a hell of a ride.

This might be the only time I applaud, or type, selfie-stick. It’s nice to see a POD that isn’t just a bike leaning against something, but people out enjoying the ride.
