The Bruder EXP-6 has more than 12″ of rear wheel travel, sleeps up to six, lets you adjust its ride height via mobile app, and looks like it’s ready for the apocalypse (zombie, Trump, or otherwise). Because sometimes the trailheads are way out there, we’re always keen on vehicles that can get there in style and comfort. Outside Van and Colorado Teardrops have impressed us, but if you need extra sleeping and the ability to bring your home pretty much anywhere, Bruder has the offroad camper trailer for you. More pics below, but really, the video tells it all…

It comes stocked with 285/75-16 tires on alloy wheels, all of which articulate independently on roll tube arms with dual monotube gas shocks.

The door’s around back, hidden by a lift gate. Inside is a queen size bed and two bunks in the standard configuration. The roof pops up and they offer parts to convert that into an additional sleeping section for two.

Outside is the kitchenette. There are two fridge/freezers, one inside and one outside. There are also two showers, one inside and one out, accessing the diesel-powered hot water heater.

All you need now is a vehicle that can keep up. And $127,900 AUD (about $102,000 USD as of 8/17/17), the base price before options. And you know you’re gonna want options.

For $102K + transport and taxes to US. I could buy a 4×4 full diesel camping rig easily more roomy and mobile than this rig. Looks neat but who is going to spend $100K for essentially a long travel popup trailer? It’s a Nonstarter.

Having one of those 4×4 camping rigs myself I can understand the positives of the pull behind. If you have a place to store it you can take more with you and have all the amenities including a real shower, full appliances, and more room. This level of luxury shown by the Bruder is not something that appeals to me but there is a client for this mobile home ;).

It’s a bit small for my butler and maids to be able to serve me well.

This will fit in perfectly with the oversized $700 jockey wheel set.

I know it can be hard to put 2+2 together sometimes, but cyclists go outdoors and to hard to reach destinations come to mind. There’s been a few non-bike related posts that actually relate to the outdoor industry and travel. Can you benefit from it? No? So what.

In the event of a zombie apocalypse I can see a problem with having to cook outside the camper. I will admit, there is a fairly slim chance that a zombie apocalypse will happen, but I just want to cover all the pros and cons.

It reminds me what I used when I returned to Jurassik Parc with my crew in 1997

Guys, not all the zombies are bad zombies. There were some very nice zombies in that apocalypse.
