When can we expect to see ‘smart’ training plans that guide you through the workouts rather than the PDF training plans posted?

They actually just created some through TrainingPeaks. The plans are free as well. You’ll need a Sufferfest account though. I started doing their 70.3 plan a couple weeks ago. It’s a pretty awesome plan.

Seems like the training plans are in PDF format. Why not have a more software based training plan?

With indoor training on a trainer that supports erg mode to me it seems like cadence is the main thing the person has to concentrate on as the trainer takes care of the resistance. Seems like the software should do a better job of that either with some form of metronome, either visually (flashing/movement on screen) or through sound. Any plans of doing that? This isn’t to say that’s the only thing the app should do as the rest of it can be useful to distract and encourage the person and knowing if the resistance is going to go up on down soon, but is the only thing the person has to target.

Eli,
Dylan at The Sufferfest here. We just released a library of 35 free training plans on TrainingPeaks. Check out the deets here: https://thesufferfest.com/blogs/training-resources/the-sufferfest-apex-training-plans-now-available-in-trainingpeaks
Connection to TrainingPeaks through The Sufferfest means your workouts instantly upload to TP, allowing you to track and analyze all of your fitness data in one place.

But the training plan doesn’t change to reflect how your fitness changes, you have to do the full frontal again to change the power levels the workout is demanding, right?
Thinking how Xert workouts are at different levels based on previous breakthroughs which could have happened from the previous ride. Plus seems to factor in your fatigue level for picking a workout.

I’m not dedicated enough for a personal coach (don’t race) but do like the way technology can create an optimal training plan. Which dedicated athltes should keep to a set training plan for the best training it is nice to have software that can tweak the training plan to get around a less dedicated structure

Is there any data that supports that 4D power will translate into better performance than training w just ftp? Possible to do a double blind test where riders don’t know whether they’re training on 4D number or ftp but do the same training block.

Any word on an Android release date or support? I would love to run your program on my tablet instead of my desktop. Thanks!

When will you fix the streaming issues I see on my PC? It works about 50% of the time, whereas last winter it was great

I got a Hammer for Christmas. I have an IPad and a laptop. What do I need for the laptop or IPad? Besides the paid subscription apps, are there free non-subscription apps I can use?
