Unior has been a mega-popular bike tool brand in Europe, and they’re just beginning their push into the U.S. with a rebranded (as in, new colors to avoid confusion with Park Tool’s blue) lineup. New to the collection is this Pro Tool Kit, which comes with most anything you’d need to do any repair on the road.
The 48-piece kit contains the most common hex and torx wrenches, some in both standard “L” shapes and T-handles, various wrenches, a hammer, chain breaker, socket wrench, disc brake pad spreader, rotor straightener and more. Retail is $749, and they sell just the hard case with interior organization elements for $199.
The new Crank Saver kit gives you everything you need to repair stripped out pedal threads on metal crank arms. It comes with left and right reaming taps, which clear out the old threads and re-thread it in reverse. Then, you thread in the tool-steel inserts to create new pedal threads. INDUSTRY NINE BOOST SINGLESPEED HUB
Industry Nine’s working on some interesting niche stuff for the freestyle and dirt jump crowd, but wouldn’t quite give up the details. In the meantime, though, their 148mm Boost-spaced singlespeed rear hubs are now ready and shipping. Prices start at $385.
DEFEET SPRING 2018 CYCLING SOCKS
Expanding their Artist Series to include more and more varieties and artists, Defeet’s spring 2018 lineup is very colorful. There’s also plenty of fresh in-house designs like the Wutang Duck. Look for these to hit their website (and shops) on March 1.
