You might might want to correct the location, it’s the Falkland Islands, not the Malvinas. It is, and remains a British Overseas territory, by will of the inhabitants in a free and fair referendum. This was the site of a significant battle in the war to liberate this British territory illegally invaded by Argentina in 1982. The fact you are unable to get the name correct is either an intentional direct insult to the soldiers and civilians who died in this war, or a demonstration of your ignorance. As you have visited the islands, and are therefore aware it’s British, it is difficult to avoid reaching the conclusion it’s the former.
