While tan sidewalls may be the hot tire trend, making them is not as easy as just changing the color. Teravail has been working on their formula for awhile now, with the main concern of creating a tire that is tubeless and air tight, but with the right color.

The last of the tan sidewalls is the Coronado in a 27.5 x 3.0″ size which is sort of an ideal sandy conditions tire that still rides well on hardpack. This one sells for $75. In other Coronado news, Teravail also announced a new 26 x 4.0″ size with black sidewalls in either Light & Supple 120tpi ($115), or Durable 60tpi ($90).

  1. these new sizes seem like kind of a waste. there are so many tires in those segments already. why not 27.5 fat or 29+ sizes. just what the world need, another 26×4 fat tire for $100+. add that to the list of 50 others.
