State Bicycle Co. launched a limited edition pigeon gray Black Label V2 single speed. The V2 is 6061 aluminum frame holding a carbon fork with a tapered steerer. It’s complete with cage mounts, sealed hub bearings, and a CNC’d crank for $630 in sizes 49 – 62 with the option of drop or riser handlebars, and various wheelsets.

Ortre bottle kit

Ortre recently launched their Century Storage system. It’s an extended bottle cage that fits a standard bottle along with a storage jar. The carbon fiber cage is small enough (for some frames) to fit two systems inside the front triangle. The canister is waterproof and fits keys, Co2 inflator, multi-tool, cash, I.D and other essentials. Kickstarter pledgers can get into a storage cage set -canister, internal anti-rattle sleeve, bottle and cage- for $60.

PARKIS lifts and secures your ride

Storage solution brand PARKIS has updated their earlier model for a 2018 Kickstarter re-release. It fits up to 2.4″ tires and 77mm rims, and 24″ or larger wheels. The unit stands just above 5-1/2 feet and weighs slightly more than 13lbs. They note that rear mudflaps must hang above the wheel’s axis to prevent damage and the front end should weigh no more than 33lbs – looking at you bike packers. The PARKIS Basic becomes available to those pledging €240. Accessories are available including locking gates (€60) and various mounting options (€12+).

Kali Protectives The Claw

Kali Protectives has officially signed the man known for his large part in the development of freeride mountain biking, Darren Berrcloth. The Claw is widely known for his success and involvement at the Red Bull Rampage. But he’s also recognised for his countless appearances in films such as North of Nightfall, Riding the Tatshenshini, Where the Trail Ends, Reach for the Sky, and plenty more. We’re looking forward to see how Berrecloth’s enthusiasm to ride terrain of biblical proportions may influence design direction for both helmets and body protection.
