The Breadwinner Cycles B-Road model is their do-anything drop bar bike, and now it’s better than ever with improved tire clearance and, if you act fast, integrated frame bag mounts. This limited edition model is available for pre-order through October 27 and is their way of testing the market for new features, but we suspect at least some will make it into the regular rotation.
The limited edition still lets you pick your geometry, but then offers custom made frame bags to take advantage of the new mounting points. This eliminates straps, which, combined with the color matched bags and accoutrements, keeps the bike looking tidy no matter how much you pack on it.
Color matched Chris King headset and hubs come standard, along with a paint-matched ENVE Gravel fork.
This new version increased tire clearance to fit up to 700x50mm wide tires, same as the fork.
Other spec includes a Shimano Ultegra R8000 group with hydraulic disc brakes, Easton bar and seatpost, Fabric saddle and bar tape, HED Belgium Plus wheel build (on those King hubs), two stainless steel King Cage bottle cages, WTB Resolute 42mm or Compass Barlow Pass 38mm tires (your choice), and a paint-matched Breadwinner stem and Silca frame pump. Base price for all this is $6,395, with a $500 deposit due before October 27. But wait, there’s more…

The frame itself is made with Columbus Spirit tubing mated to stainless steel thru axles dropouts, and has a number of options available for customization beyond geometry…like internal routing, S&S frame couplers and braze-on rack mounts.
