Revel Ranger Brunch Ride Edition makes short travel ripper even more capable

I wouldn’t be a good Millennial if I didn’t think that brunch > lunch. There’s booze, bacon, eggs, you know – all the major food groups, and it’s all served at leisurely hour in the day. It’s no wonder that Revel is calling their newest Ranger build, the Brunch Ride Edition.

Likely a good-hearted take on the Yeti Lunch Ride version, the Revel Brunch Ride Edition has become the favorite build of Revel’s team for a reason. The Ranger may be a small 115mm travel XC boss, but it has a playful nature that begs to be pushed to the limits.

Revel leans into that with the Brunch Ride, by adding a 130mm travel RockShox Pike Ultimate fork and a Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock. Compare that to the stock 120mm RockShox SID fork and shock, and you start to see the picture.

The bike also gains 780mm titanium handlebars from Revel’s sister brand, Why Cycles. The Brunch Ride keeps the burly Revel RW30 carbon wheels, but upgrades the tires from Maxxis Dissectors to the all-conquering Minion. More speed means more brake is needed, so this version moves to TRP Slate 4 piston brakes with 180mm rotors.

So when can you buy it, and for how much? Well, for now, you’ll have to wait. Revel says that they are hoping to gauge interest in the build since inventory is tight currently (like all brands it seems). They also haven’t established a price, but expect it to be offered some time in Spring, 2021.

wow, just check out Yeti’s site, change lunch ride to brunch ride, and make a bike like the SB115. Props to them for the shameless “borrowing” if the concept and platform.

So, do exactly what Yeti does technically on SB115 (bigger tires and rotors, 130mm fork) and mimic their culturally identity (lunch ride/brunch ride) and release your new bike. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I suppose…

This looks a lot better than any Yeti i’ve ever seen:
