Optimized for smaller diameter tires, Dynaplug Road tubeless repair tools adapt the best of proven Dynaplug tire repair tech for all road bikes. The most popular best sellers are there – both a Dynaplug Carbon Road Racer & Dynaplug Air Road, with shorter insertion tubes –  but new shorter Road Plugs are also available to work in any existing Dynaplug tool…

Dynaplug officially enters the world of Road Tubeless with two new road-specific tools, and new road tire-specific tubeless plugs, too. Since you don’t have to push through thick knobby tread on road tires AND because you don’t want to punch through to your rim tape which could be only 25mm away, Dynaplug Road tubeless tools feature a shorter insertion tube optimized for 23-32mm tires.

And so you don’t have extra long tails of plugs flapping around and hitting your tight clearance road bike, new shorter Road Plugs will be a cleaner fit in road frames & forks.

Carbon Road Racer Kit

Just like the regular Carbon Racer, the new US-made Carbon Road Racer is Dynaplug’s lightest, always-ready puncture repair solution, with two plugs already loaded. At just 14g for the regular version, the roadie one with slightly shorter road insertion tubes will likely save you at least another gram or so.

The small form factor fits well inside a jersey pocket, a longer saddlebag, or behind a water bottle with the included silicone mount. For the same $48 price as the original, the Dynaplug Carbon Road Racer Kit also includes five standard Soft Nose Plugs (full length, shorter road plugs available separately) in addition to the tool & mount.

Air Road Kit

Again, just like the original Dynaplug Air, this new Dynaplug Air Road repairs your puncture and reinflates your tire in one super fast, seamless process. Made in the US, and offered in four pretty anodized colors, you just thread on the C02, stab it in your tire, inflate, and remove to ride away.

The $75 Air Road Kit includes the single-sided Dynaplug repair tool with the shorter road insertion tube, an air hose with a Presta adapter for use inflating on its own, two Meerkat Magic 16g C02 cartridges, plus four standard Soft Nose Plugs (full length, shorter road plugs available separately).

Dynaplug Road Plugs

Alongside the two new road-specific tools are the shorter Road Plugs, something like the opposite of their Megaplugs! Designed to make installation easier and cleaner when tighter frame & fork clearances come into play, it’s probably also extra important that you are careful when pulling the new Dynaplug Road tools out since just a short bit of plug will be showing. The Road Plugs are made of the same viscoelastic rubber-impregnated cord and non-abrasive brass tip as the Soft Nose tipped plugs, just with a shorter tail. Designed to be inserted directly into a puncture, a 5-pack of soft-tipped Road Plugs sells for $12 just like the originals. They’ll even work with all of your regular existing Dynaplug tools.

Reminder: All of the updated Road Tubeless Tools come with regular-sized plugs pre-installed, shorter road plugs are only available separately.

Just carry a tube and a pump or CO2 cartridges. Only time sealant wouldn’t work sealing the hole for me, the slice was so big that plugs wouldn’t have helped either.
