Follow women from 7 countries tackle the 700km Torino Nice Rally – Starting today, September 24, ultra-endurance cyclist Lael Wilcox is leading a group of 20+ women from 7 different countries, as they set out to bikepack the well-known Torino Nice Rally cycling route. Said to be the first European bikepacking challenge of this scope exclusively for women, it could even be the first time a female collective has been formed to undertake such a cycling adventure of this magnitude.

Supported by Komoot who will help guide the women across the 700km route, the self-supported ride allows each rider to set her own pace & priorities, whether that’s riding solo, with others, or under the guidance of Komoot ambassador Wilcox.

The absence of racing pressure ensures that each woman can get what they want out of the adventure, with the opportunity to build friendships with those around her. Lael Wilcox says she’s, “been told that it’s impossible for women to ride long distances, to climb mountains, to ride through the remote countryside. Yet I’ve done all of these things and so have many women that are joining on this week-long adventure. I’m very motivated to show that women are extremely capable in the world of ultra-distance cycling and this event is a way for us to connect with each other and to share our stories and our passion for adventure cycling”.
