All adventure belt with stretch strap and non-metal carbon fiber buckle for travel

Lindarets’ founder Marc Basiliere is back with a new project called Abl. Created because, in his words, he couldn’t find a belt that worked well with mountain bike baggies, it marries a carbon fiber buckle with stretch custom woven bands. That means no metal and no moving parts, just a simple piece of equipment that’s light and moves with you while riding. Or hiking, climbing, traveling, or anything else you’re into. Like Marc’s other projects, these are almost entirely made in the USA, using local and domestic resources for 80% of the finished goods.

The Abl B19 belt’s molded carbon buckle won’t set off metal detectors, which may help ease your shuffle through TSA (good Lord, especially at Newark. Don’t layover through Newark!). It’s also light, with rounded edges, so it should virtually disappear while riding.

Retail price starts at $39.95 for the 41″ band, and $42.95 for 53″. The bands are sold separately, so you can mix and match, upsize or downsize as needed.

Got my belt in the mail yesterday (that was quick.) IT”S AWESOME. I’ve been wearing webbing belts daily for 30 years and never realized that stretch was what I was missing.

So comfy – it has to be what Sansabelt golf slacks feel like (I’ve never owned a pair of Sansabelts, but the creepy old b*stards that wear them always have a weird grin on their face.)

I got the black one. It looks a lot like a seatbelt, so I’ll reorder for the colored ones too (please add a GREY one to the lineup.)
