All-City is one of those brands that seems to always sweat the details on their bikes, and they’re back at it again. This time they’re updating their most popular model, the Space Horse, as well as the Gorilla Monsoon. Both bikes get new dropouts, two color options, and for the first time – two complete builds.

Space Horse

Space Horse has now made the leap from QR axle to 12mm thru axles thanks to the new signature dropouts and fork ends. The move also includes the transition to flat mount disc brakes front and rear, while keeping the ability to mount both racks and fenders.

Additionally, there is new stealth dynamo routing for the fork as well as four-point rack mounts to extend the functionality of the bike. Tire clearance depends on the frame size and fender use, and is outlined below.

Tire clearance:

    • 43 cm and 46 cm: 650b x 47 mm (42mm with fenders)
    • 49 cm – 61 cm: 700c x 45mm (41mm with fenders) and 650b x 47 mm (42mm with fenders)
    • Stock build: 650b x 47 mm

If you get thirsty, there are now three water bottle mounts on the frame, two in the front triangle, and one under the downtube.

The frame is still made from their 612 Select Tubing which is a proprietary double butted 4130 Chromoly. Now though, it’s offered in two complete build options with a Shimano GRX and Tiagra build in seven frame sizes from 43-61cm.

The Space Horse GRX in Dusty Rose is priced at $2,099, while the Space Horse Tiagra in Blue Neptune is $1,599. Both framesets are offered for $850.

Gorilla Monsoon

If you want something with a little, or a lot, more rubber, the Gorilla Monsoon could be the ticket. The bike is still build around 27.5 x 2.4″ tires, with clearance for 700c x 42mm tires as well.

The Gorilla Monsoon was already equipped with thru axles, but it still gets new custom dropouts and fork ends to work with 12mm thru axles and flat mount disc brakes.

For the first time, the frames will be available all the way down to 43cm, and all 7 frame sizes have a lower bottom bracket height.

Like the Space Horse, the GM is now offered in two different builds and two new colors. the Shimano GRX build comes in Pineapple Sundae, while the SRAM Apex build is called Root Beer Keg. Both bikes include a dropper post with the Apex build getting a dropper lever installed near the left brake hood, while the GRX build actually uses the left “shifter” to actuate the dropper.

Also made from their 612 Select tubing, the Gorilla Monsoon is priced at $2,099 for the Apex bike, and $2,499 for the GRX bike, with both framesets offered for $899.

Love the paint on the gorillas, shame they can’t take a bigger 700c than the space horse.

Yeah what is going on with the tire clearance?
27.5×2.4″ or 700x42c on the gorilla monsoon, but 700x47c on the spacehorse???

Please say those are preproduction frames. The Space Horse seat tube bottle boss looks like it’s preventing the front derailleur from being adjusted properly.
