I love goooold. OK, maybe not personally, but you’ll get the reference once you lay eyes on the new Limited Edition parts from Cane Creek. Thanks to the hand assembled nature of Cane Creek products like HELM forks and their made-in-North Carolina 110 headsets, Cane Creek points out that they have the ability to do small runs of limited production colors.

In this case, that seems to be predominately gold with their “ConRad” edition fork and matching 110 headset. Named for the 12 year old who found a 17lb gold nugget in North Carolina in 1799 and the resulting gold rush, the Helm fork gets the ‘Au’ treatment. Available in the HELM Air or Coil in 27.5″, the special fork includes a gold colored crown and matching graphics.

If you want to keep with the theme, there’s also a ConRad edition 110 headset along with two other special editions – the black and silver Tuxedo Edition, and the red, white, and blue Flag Edition. All three are available in the ZS44/ZS56 SHIS configuration and the Flag includes the tall top cap. Technically, you can create your own combination by buying separate top and bottom assemblies, but this allows you to get it in one click for the same price at $160 each.

The ConRad forks also go for the same price as stock at $1,100, but the fork must be ordered by December 22nd, with delivery in January 2018. The headsets are available now while supplies last.

How close will this gold ano be to match the SRAM xx1 or Kashima gold?

Asking for a friend.

Tough to say from pics, but it looks like it has less orange in it than Kashima (although that varies from batch to batch of Kashima) but is kind of close to xx1…or so I hear from someone who isn’t me.

Kicking myself for buying my Helm Coil too soon. That black and gold looks so much better than the stock silver.
