Pedal Power+ Australia has just launched the world’s first bicycle hub generator with DC power output.
Using dynamo technology in the front hub, it converts your pedal power into DC power, letting you charge your phone, Zune (what?  actually the new Zune HD looks pretty solid…freakin’ OLED screen and HD radio, if you’re into that.) or GPS.
The offer their own Pedal Power+ hub that directly creates DC power, and they offer a universal adapter for AC power hubs from Shimano, Schmidt, Suntour, SRAM and Novatech, along with several size PP+ battery packs that can charge while you ride, then plug up to your electronic device to charge it via USB.
