Want to lighten your bike without lightening your wallet? The Ciamillo Zero G20SL calipers, which come in at just 163g for the set (claimed, without pads), are on rare pre-season sale in Black and Clear+Black ano.

The brakes normally retail for $349/set, but they’re offering $50 off if you order by end of day Friday, March 13. That puts them at $299, which is only $40-$50 more than the street price for top level “group” brakes…and far less than many other high end options.

Weight comparison for Ciamillo, eeBrake, SRAM Red & Shimano Dura-Ace rim brakes

Pure weight weenies already get it, but if you’re trying to shed grams, knocking 100g off your bike without giving up performance is an impressive feat. Here’s how Ciamillo’s 8th generation ZeroG SL brakes compare to the Cane Creek eeBrakes G4, SRAM Red and Shimano Dura-Ace latest generation standard-mount mechanical rim brakes. Just for fun, we also included the carbon-fiber-and-alloy Ciamillo Lekki8 brake calipers. An (*) indicates that 30g was added for calipers that do not ship with pads, that’s the actual weight of four SwissStop Black Prince brake pads:

Ciamillo Zerog20 SL 193g* (163g w/o pads) $299
Ciamillo Lekki8 159g* (129g w/o pads) $679
Cane Creek eeBrakes 199g* (169g w/o pads) $680
SRAM Red 240g $278
Shimano DA BR9100 326g $379

Ciamillo’s new brakes are sold direct to consumer, and he says these are in stock and ready to ship. Get the full tech specs for the Zero G20SL brakes in this post, and the top-level Lekki8 calipers here.
