Just about a month and a half ago Commencal debuted their all new downhill bike called the Furious. While many long travel suspension bikes have become more complicated and uniquely specialized for one style of riding, they were looking for a something more simple. The result, a 200mm alloy single pivot bike capable of dropping into a DH race and just as willing to do a backflip in the bikepark. And all that is a bike that you could get starting at just $2500/2500€. The Furious is available now in time for spring racing and lift-served shredding. Get hyped for some gravity action with a new Commencal video after the break, and an overview of the details…

We went into full detail on the new Furious when it was launched back in March. But as a bit of a recap, the Furious is meant to be more affordable getting its 200mm of travel from a triple butted 6066 aluminum frame with a single pivot design and a faux-bar linkage driven shock.

The 27.5″ Furious is available in four sizes from S-XL and two complete builds – Race & Origin. The $2500€ Furious Origin goes with RockShox Boxxer RC fork, a coil over Kage R shock, and SRAM X5/X7 1×9 drivetrain.

Step up to the Furious Race for $4000€ and you get a Fox Factory 40 Float fork and Factory Float X2 air shock & SRAM GX DH 1×7 downhill specific groupset.

The bike is also available as a frame-only for $1200€, or in the US as a frameset including a Fox Factory Float X2 air shock for $1600.
