The Plus hits just keep coming. This time they come in the form of two new models from Devinci – the full suspension Marshall and the hardtail Kobain RS. Both follow industry trends of offering 27.5+ wheels and tires, but take things to the limit with full size 3.0″ tires and clearance for more. Read on for more…

Rather than build the bikes around 2.8″ tires (or even 2.6″) as seems to be the trend, Devinci has chosen to go with full size 27.5 x 3.0″ rubber in the form of Maxxis Chronicles. Even with the 3″ rubber in place, there is still plenty of room for mud clearance and even bigger treads providing a lot of options for wheel and tire choice.

Originally called the Hedrix, and now taking after Jimi’s middle name, the Marshall is a 110mm travel DMC-G carbon frame with Split Pivot suspension. Featuring two different geometry positions, the frame also includes Boost spacing front and rear, internal cable routing including stealth dropper routing, PF bottom bracket and ISCG 05 mounts with a 1x specific design. The frame is also offered in an Optimum G04 aluminum version with the same features except for external cable routing, though it keeps the internal dropper option.

Pricing for completes ranges from $4069 for the Carbon NX, to $4419 for the aluminum SLX/XT build, and $5129 for the top end carbon SLX/XT build. Frames will also be available for $1799 in aluminum and $2479 in carbon.

The Kobain RS is an aluminum only option which is also built around 27.5 x 3.0″ tires and a 120mm travel fork. The frame claims clearance for 27.5 x 3.25″ or 29 x 2.35″ tires, and it is offered with a blend of internal and external cable routing, internal dropper capability, Boost spacing, and a PF bottom bracket. One build is offered with a Shimano Deore mixed drivetrain, Kenda Havok tires, and Formula wheels with a claimed weight of 14.04 kg / 30.95 lbs and a price of $1499.

If only the full suspension bike was a 29er 3″ instead of 27.5

Divinci great company otherwise.

maybe it’s the angle or the paint? But that is a really disappointing looking hardtail…? Didn’t even take the time to look for geo or spec… Still Norco Torent I guess…
