EB17: DVO goes metric, adds Opal inline rear shock & Beryl fork goes to market

The new DVO Opal inline shock is their first shock without a piggyback reservoir. All of the compression circuitry is inside the main barrel, with a simple two setting adjustment knob on the outside. There’s also a 10-click rebound adjust bezel running around it.

Flip the lever either direction to firm things up.

Aimed at the XC / Trail crowd, it’s tuned for shorter travel bikes that are as likely to climb as descend. Offered in lengths up to 216mm eye-to-eye. Available next April, probably around $400.

2018 DVO Beryl affordable enduro fork

The Beryl was shown at Taipei and is now hitting the market. It’s functionally similar to the Diamond, but with fewer external adjustments. Retail is $775.

Can’t wait to get this Opal on my Tallboy and make it come alive. DVO is the best.

Does the Opal shock use an IFP or did they manage to put a bladder in it?
