Endura is prepping for the frosty seasons with a line of gravel and adventure-specific clothing designed to keep riders comfortable and dry as the weather gets gnarly. The Scottish company created the new Endura GV500 series with input from adventure cyclists James Haydon (among others) and crafted the garments to work in concert with one another as a one-stop layering system.

Endura GV500: Something For Everyone

A word about Endura’s naming conventions. Like a roadie look in your gravel apparel? Go for the Riever. Want a close-fitting mountain bike style? Choose Foyle. It’s that simple.

Waterproof layers

The Endura GV500 Waterproof Jacket anchors the collection. It’s a 3-layer, seam-sealed, minimally featured waterproof breathable outer layer that’s cut slim but still features enough room to layer the rest of the collection underneath. It packs into its chest pocket, sports a drop tail for maximum spray protection, and a roomy hood. The DWR finish is PFC-free and non-toxic.

  • 3-layer Exoshell40 fabric
  • PFC-free DWR finish
  • Waterproof 20000mm
  • Breathable 40000g/m2/24hrs
  • Sizes: XS-XXXL
  • Colors: Paprika, Olive, Black
  • MSRP: $199.99

Endura is also dropping some rainpants to pair with the jacket. The pants are constructed of the same material/DWR finish combo as the jacket and feature handy touches like a gravel-specific slim cut, reflective logos, and an internal gaiter for easy removal.

Insulation

PrimaLoft gold is the central pillar of the Endura GV500 Insulated Jacket, an 8.6-ounce insulator crafted with windproof shell material, a two-way center zip for manual ventilation, and reflectors for safety. Like the GV500 Waterproof Jacket, it packs up into a pocket—no stuff sack necessary. The hood features a volume adjuster for a snug (read: warm) fit, and Lycra cuffs help keep the layer smooth and streamlined when worn under a wind or rain jacket. Bonus points: the shell fabric features a DWR finish, and Endura uses 80% recycled material.

  • PrimaLoft® gold insulation
  • 80% recycled fabric
  • PFC-free DWR coat
  • 245g weight
  • Two-way front zip
  • Sizes: XS-XXXL

Endura GV500 Baselayers

Gravel biking involves map checking, which means easy and fast access to a phone. Enter the Endura GV500 Riever Bibshorts. The shorts are “gravel-specific,” a phrase which can mean a lot of things but here means that riders get a double-layer panel of fabric on the outer thigh (a little protection in case of crashes) and mesh side pockets for phones, snacks, or any other need that might crop up. Extra storage—it’s never a bad thing.

Endura also tossed in a lumbar support panel and features designed to integrate with the GV500 Foyle baggy shorts. Speaking of which, take a peek at these.

The slim but casual GV500 Foyle Shorts are stretchy, water-resistant (with a DWR coating), and mesh-lined for comfort. The hand pockets up front have zippers for security, and the zipped thigh-openings provide manual ventilation and access to the cargo pockets on the GV500 Riever Bibshorts.
