EVOC gave us a little taste of their new bikepacking line at Sea Otter, but apparently the best was yet to come. The bag and luggage company has just introduced the newest additions to their on-bike series, and they attach in a pretty interesting way.

Where most other handlebar and saddle bags attach with velcro straps or rigid clamps, these use a Boa system. Appropriately called the Handlebar Pack Boa and Seat Pack Boa, the two bags should just cinch down into place. That should mean easier installation, but also a tighter connection between the bag and the bike to keep the contents in place.

Offered in two sizes, the medium is 2.5L while the large is 5L (M: 30 x 12.5 x 12.5 cm, and L: 30 x 15 x 15 cm). Weights are claimed at 200 & 260g). The dual roll top design allows for you to adjust the length and the amount of internal storage, and combined with the waterproof material, makes for a water tight bag. Prices are set at $130 for M and $150 for L in Carbon Grey or Loam.

The Seat Pack Boa combines a Boa dial for the clamp around the seat post and standard velcro straps that go around the saddle rails.

This bag also has a roll top but it secures with a single clip in the middle rather than one on each end. Thanks to the wedge shaped opening, the bag will securely attach to standard, dropper, or even aero seat posts.

Available in S, M, & L, the packs offer anywhere from 1-3L of additional storage. While not completely dropper post compatible, you will be able to still get much of the travel out of it – just be mindful of the rear wheel travel if using on a full suspension bike.

S: 10 x 22 x 10 cm, 1 l, 170g, 110 USD
M: 10 x 27 x 12 cm, 2 l, 198g, 130 USD
L: 11 x 37 x 19 cm, 3 l, 225g, 150 USD

Combined with on-bike bags that were previously launched at Sea Otter, the EVOC range should provide plenty of storage for single day epics (or more, depending on your gear set up). Both the Handlebar Pack and Seat pack will be available later this fall, the Multi Frame Pack and Top Tube Pack are available now for $40-50.
