Calling it their most versatile shoe yet, the Terra Atlas seems perfectly suited to ATB pursuits. Whatever that may be.
Sitting somewhere between the typical MTB and gravel shoe, the Terra Atlas combines a rugged outsole with a low-profile upper. Meant for all-day comfort, the fit is said to be generous with a single BOA L6 dial to make easy changes in fit along the way.
Essentially an update on their popular Terra X5, the upper is perforated for ventilation but there is a TPU overlay on the toecap to provide added protection. Weight is kept fairly low for a shoe that can pull rugged MTB duty at 355g.
The two-bold SPD cleat style outsole has been redesigned and features a hidden nylon footplate for pedaling efficiency. According to Fi’zik, the shoe has a stiffness index of 5 meaning it should be efficient enough for spirited rides, but flexible enough for comfortable walking when you need it. Removeable toe studs are also there if things get really sloppy.
