Fight Parkinson’s with a bid on Taylor Phinney painted Allied Able gravel bike – Ex-pro road racer turned artist Taylor Phinney is raffling a one-off hand-painted Allied Able carbon gravel bike this month to support those living & fighting with Parkinson’s Disease. Former Olympic cyclist Davis Phinney, his son a former US national road champion Taylor Phinney, and bike maker Allied Cycleworks have come together on The Next Stage project. Aiming to raise money and awareness for those living with, and those working to combat Parkinson’s Disease, the custom art bike giveaway is helping the Davis Phinney Foundation’s work to drive new research to improve the quality of life of those afflicted by Parkinson’s.

To lend your support, sign up for their newsletter and you can contribute $25 or more for a shot at the custom bike up for grabs (you can also enter without donating, but the point here is to support their important work.) The bike itself up for grabs is a $9400 size M Allied Able custom painted by the younger Phinney, decked out in a SRAM Force AXS Mullet group, ENVE cockpit & G27 wheels with Chris King hubs, a monster 52cm Crust Shaka bar & Brooks Cambium saddle.

Everyone who signs up will be eligible for the chance to win the bike custom painted by Taylor Phinney, inspired by his father’s journey and everyone’s journey to find themselves and live their best lives. *No contribution necessary.DavisPhinneyFoundation.org

I contributed to this good cause although the art seems, to put it kindly, not super great. I guess it is less likely to get stolen, and you can always just sand it off.

Art is art. Nobody ever anywhere created something everyone vibes with.

Duh. I wouldn’t want to hurt the guy’s feelings but some super fine grit could get that mess off of the frame in no time.
