  • Omata, premium analog cycling computer now available – We covered the Omata One GPS bike computer about a year and a half ago when it was still but a twinkle in anybody but Fabian Cancellara’s eye. Well they are available now (kind of). It’s still a preorder for the $550 device, but they are claiming to ship them before Christmas 2017 now. Omata.com

Where (& How) to Ride

  • Bikelaw.com shares “What you should know about e-bikes & the law” – We hear a lot about real and perceived threats of e-bikes. One thing remains clear. Not enough is being done about informing e-bike buyers what they need to know about where and how to ride those new electric bikes. Bike Law has taken on the topic from a national level as well as from state specific ColoradoIllinois perspectives. BikeLaw.com

That Omata is adorable. $550 for a bike computer with 4 fixed fields of data? I would like a bike computer that shows some data fields on a scale rather than as a number, but that’s ridiculous.

If you are dealing with stinky kits and don’t want to shell out a ton for that Defunkify stuff, you can buy Lysol laundry sanitizer. 10 bucks for a huge jug and it kicks but in terms of removing odor from my kits (especially my trainer bibs and jerseys)

The Defunkify expedition stuff is super legit. I’ve got a week wearing the same shirt on a trip and it didn’t smell – can’t say the same for me.
Every time I read “Omata” I hear “Omerta”.
