Where to Ride

  • Amateur cyclocross racing in Germany this fall – OK, so this is going to target a relatively small group, but we’ve just found out recently about a few amateur cross racing series taking place around Germany this time of year. First up, the Genesis sponsored 4-race NRW Cross Cup is taking place around Düsseldorf & Cologne, starting this weekend: RadsportvVrband-NRW.de Then, there is the Munich Super Cross which started off as a Rapha event a few years back and continued to grow into a whole weekend of events, and has been adopted by the city on Munich, kicking off in a weeks time: CSchwalben-Muenchen.jimdo.com And lastly, the 8th annual Cyclo Cross Cup hosted by Veloheld from Dresden to Berlin, which gets under way October 22nd: Veloheld.de So get out and get some grassroots German CX racing in!

Gear (and a kids book)

  • Get kids into riding with “A Bike for You” – This is a different one for us. Steve Domahidy of his bike brand of the same name has a new Kickstarter project. This time, he has written a children’s book to inspire more kids to get on the bike and ride. Head on over to the Kickstarter campaign to get a glimpse in side and pre-order a copy. ABikeForYou.com

  • Watteam adds 1 year free crash replacement, updates app – Worried about crash damage to those little pods hanging off the pedal spindles on the Powerbeat powermeter? Worry no longer as Watteam just announced a no questions asked 12 month replacement warranty. If anything goes wrong in a year, even if you crash, they’ll replace them for free. Plus, they have a new update coming for their app next week  with performance improvements and to work better with iOS 11. Watteam.com

  • Après Vélo running a big Down Under summer Birthday clearance sale – Cycling fashion brand Après VéloHas hinted to us that they are about to undertake a big rebranding effort, with a new website and expanded product lines in just over a month’s time. But now in the meantime, they are having a big clearance sale over the next four days. Check out big clearance deals for Men & for Women while supplies last.
