Holy Reverb! Wolf Tooth Components teases Rock Shox compatible dropper remote

Wolf Tooth Components has already won over a lot of fans with their ReMote dropper lever. Thanks to the smooth action and impeccable ergonomics, the lever is an easy upgrade to just about any dropper – as long as they’re mechanical. Though it looks like that’s about to change thanks to a recent instagram post from Wolf Tooth Components…

Rock Shox has stuck with the full hydraulic design which has made making compatible remote levers a bit more tricky. Novy Parts offered one of the first paddle style hydraulic levers that we know of, which was recently followed up by Rock Shox’ own 1x style hydraulic lever with a much lower price tag.

Whether the Wolf Tooth option is a full hydraulic option or a mechanical lever with a hydraulic to mechanical converter like the BikeYoke system remains to be seen. But the fact that they’re teasing the testing process on instagram makes us pretty excited to see what they come up with. More when we have it.

Yes. That sure looks like a cable on the remote, which would make me very happy.
Given how well cable remotes have worked for everyone else (and what a pain hydraulics have been on the Reverb) I don’t get why SRAM has stuck with fluid.

FWIW, I’ve been running the bikeyoke dehy for 6 months, & it’s been great. should work fine with the wolftooth lever as well, if you wanted to go this route today. I have no complaints about bike yoke’s lever, but having played with both, the wolftooth lever really is best in class.

Reverbs are dead easy to bleed. Doesn’t take any more time to do than a cable swap, and it’s a sealed system. Cables work fine, but the hydro system for controlling the dropper works great. I don’t get the resistance some people have to it.

Never had a problem with any Reverb remote over the last 4 years. The post is a different story. I’m sure the ergonomics of the other remotes are great and all, but if the old one ain’t broke, I’m not going to fix it.
