Co-Motion continues to push steel to new and exciting places with a collection of detail packed and compelling products. The new Klatch CS3 will set gravel grinders’ hearts atwitter with clever carbon and steel tube construction, oodles of tire clearance, integrated seat mast, and tucked and tidy routing. The Sikiyou, a 650B version of the Divide touring model, offers a more responsive ride and a better fit for smaller riders. With their low price-point Bluebird, Co-Motion looks to give both consumers an easy-on-the-wallet gateway to a tandem hood as well as dealers a way to put a made-in-the-USA tandem on the showroom floor without breaking the bank…

The Klatch CS3 option is an upscale version of their standard model. It maintains the 700x40c tire clearance, TRP thru-axle tapered carbon CX fork, and geometry of the base model. However, it departs from the base model’s full Reynolds 853 construction, and features True Temper S3 top and downtubes as well as a carbon seat mast featuring a made in-house topper. The model shown was spec’d with Ultegra Di2.

The carbon seatmast gives Co-Motion the ability to keep the seat cluster clean by allowing internal rear disc routing through that joint with a subtle exit on the seatstay, a compelling feature for minimalists and ample-thighed riders.

More utilitarian details include rack and fender mounts as well as three sets of waterbottle bosses and a pump peg behind the headtube. And, as in all Co-Motion thru-axle models, the axles are produced in-house.

With more inexpensive options becoming available from abroad every year, Co-Motion saw an opportunity to develop and introduce an American-made entry level price point tandem both for dealers and for future tandem teams looking for their first ride. The low cost of the Bluebird was accomplished through a lower spec zonally butted cromoly tubeset than their existing models, and a “creative” component selection of Deore drivetrain, Avid disc brakes, Truvativ crank, FSA Omega stem and City handlebar, as well as Co-Motion brand stoker bar, A-20 tandem hubs, and a steel unicrown tapered tandem touring fork.

The Bluebird will be available complete at $2995 and comes in any color you want- as long as that color is Memphis Blue.

Last but not least, the brand new Siskiyou is a 650B thru-axle touring bike. Constructed of Reynolds 725 and utilizing the new Boost 148mm standard and Co-Motion’s proprietary yoke to facilitate tight rear-end geometries with 50mm+ tire clearance, the Siskiyou manages a tight 450mm rear-center. Also, due to the smaller wheel size, the Siskiyou features a stock geometry range down to size 46cm (with a 51.5cm effective top tube) giving smaller tourers a reason to celebrate.

The Siskiyou starts at $1995 for a frameset, $3695 for a complete.

Really happy with my Siskiyou. Super solid for loaded touring, and for the “gravel roads,” aka steep rocky trails, we have here in the LA area. Fun fun bike.
