Way back in 2020, Industry Nine announced that they were cranking things up to 11. Thanks to the new Hydra Frequency Adjustment Ratchet Technology, you could fine-tune the sound of your freehub, even cranking it all the way up – if you dared.

And while that was clearly an April Fool’s joke, it actually became a real-life product that benefitted Asheville musicians hit hard by the pandemic.

Now, Industry Nine is cranking it up another notch with a special edition Enduro 305 Wheelset that’s None More Black.

Industry Nine None More Black Enduro 305 hub cap goes to 11

Built around the Hydra Frequency Adjust Ratchet Technology hub end cap, the None More Black Edition Enduro 305 wheels are exactly as promised. Very black.

According to I9, the hubs and spokes have been processed “slightly differently during anodization to create a two-tone effect that renders the laser etching to a shadow. Not dismal, depressing or mournful, but powerful like a black mirror – wheels you can see yourself on.”

Only 100 pairs will be offered, and in 29″ Boost configuration only. These were offered up for pre-sale to U.S. dealers first, with the remaining wheels listed for sale on their webstore and priced at $1,455 per set. As of this posting, it still shows some wheels for sale in both MicroSpline and SRAM XD freehub options. Check the link below for more.

Oh, a black wheelset.

But… They’re etched, and thus show silver.

They could be more black, especially if they didn’t go to eleven.

The hubs and spokes are all laser etched prior to anodization, they are definitely not silver. The Volume Knob however are etched after ano.
