Spring: the season of longer days, crisp skies, and new life. With the March 2022 release of its Primo Maternity Chamois bike shorts, Kaden Apparel got the timing right.

“Studies have shown that exercise during pregnancy often leads to improved long-term health for both the mother and the baby,” explained Kaden founder, Chelsea Camarata. “As a low impact activity, cycling is a great choice to improve blood circulation, improve sleep, aid digestion, and more.”

The shorts feature a supportive roll-down belly band, non-constricting leg bands, and a flap-top side pocket.

The brand says that it uses high-quality, multi-way-stretch fabric that makes both its original and maternity chamois shorts comfortable and capable for all cycling disciplines — gravel, indoor, MTB, or road.  You can even layer or swim in them.

Camarata claims that the shorts’ useful life isn’t constrained to the final months of pregnancy. With its women’s bike shorts, the Kaden design team aims to provide female cyclists with comfortable riding apparel whether they’re expecting, postpartum, or just wanting a little extra room to breathe.
