We all want to bomb down trails, cross creeks, and drop into features on our bikes with the confidence that our apparel will help, not hinder us. Well, these new women’s specific mountain biking pants look super comfy AND have built-in knee pads to handle the harshest landing–something Moxie says is an industry-first, not just for women’s clothing.

The Wicked Girl G-Form trail pants have strategically sewn-in knee pads to preserve and protect your knees while riding. The G-Form knee pads are equipped with a patented SmartFlex technology that makes the pads lightweight, flexible, and instantly harden on impact.

So, say you hit a feature harder and faster than you expected – the G-Form knee pads automatically transform from soft and pliable to rigid to diminish the force sent through our precious knees and legs.

With these new Wicked Girl G-Form trail pants, Moxie Cycling Co. has achieved its goal of creating non-traditional cycling clothes that disrupt “the traditional look of a cyclist.”

More about the new, wicked cool, mountain bike pants:

Bikerumor asked Wicked Girl/Moxie founder, Heidi Yakowski about the types of riders who would benefit from wearing these new trail pants. “The trail pants are great for anyone,” she said. “They are meant to replace wearing shorts and knee pads. The pads do not move, slip, or feel restrictive. You won’t even feel like you are riding with pads at all!”

We also asked if the trail pants run true to size. Yakowski replied, “Yes, you do not need to size up if you wear a chamois underneath.” She explained, “They have the fit of joggers at the waist and hips, and get more fitted around the knee and calf. Behind the knee, there is a compression panel that helps hold the knee pad in place while making it easier and more comfortable when climbing and for longer distances.”
