Tacx have announced a new basic indoor trainer; the Tacx Boost sits at the top of the line-up boasting a top-end wattage of 1050, bettering the Blue Motion by 100 Watts. Tacx are positioning the Boost turbo trainer as an affordable and quiet basic trainer that makes it easy to train year-round.

Tacx Boost Indoor Trainer

This new basic indoor trainer from Tacx has a flywheel design and a magnetic brake that allows the rider to manually tune resistance across ten levels. Resistance adjustment is via a handlebar mounted lever. Push it up to 1050 Watts for those all-out efforts.

Tacx say the flywheel generates a realistic and smooth pedal stroke while the closed resistance unit helps reduce noise. The front wheel support stand that comes with the Tacx Boost is multifunctional; it doubles up as a handle for the trainer when folded away.

This mean athletes can use a single sign on to link their Tacx Apps to Garmin Connect to view recorded activities, indoor rides and training data all in one place. Indoor rides recorded in the Tacx apps will also automatically sync with Garmin Connect.
