Following in the Warakin’s tire tracks, the Otso Fenrir is getting an upgrade. Like the brand’s amazing gravel bike, the Fenrir bikepacking bike started out as a stainless steel beauty. Also like the Warakin, the Fenrir now gets a 3Al/2.5V B338 grade 9 titanium option which decreases the weight by a third while retaining the smooth ride and simple durability the material is known for.

Otso Fenrir Ti tuning chip dropout

The hallmark of every Otso frame is their Tuning Chip dropout system. This three-fixed-position dropout is angled so it adjusts the wheelbase by up to 20mm, the bottom bracket height by up to 4mm, and the head tube angle by +/- 0.5º – all in a creak-free, rock-solid package that is up to the task, even with heavy loads.

The Tuning Chip system is part of the bike’s versatility, allowing riders to choose from multiple wheel sizes with tire clearance up to 29 x 2.6″ or 27.5 x 2.8″.

The other part of the versatility story is the geometry meant to adapt to either flat bar or drop bar bikepacking builds. According to Otso, flat bars will best utilize an 80mm stem, while drop bar builds are built around 50mm stems to get the right reach numbers. The frame is also suspension corrected to use up to a 100mm travel suspension fork, though all bikes come stock with the ENVE Mountain Fork with three-pack mounts and adjustable rake from the axle flip chip.

The geometry is identical to the stainless steel Fenrir, with five sizes, a 68º head tube angle, 75º seat tube angle, Boost 148mm spacing, and 88mm of trail.

Built with full-length external cable routing, the Fenrir is meant to be extremely user friendly for repairs, and the frame includes mounts for racks, fenders, and a four pack mount on the top and bottom of the downtube, standard bottle mount on the seat tube, and the three pack mounts on the fork.

Otso Fenrir Ti frame details

Other frame details include an English threaded bottom bracket, and the ability to run a 31.6mm dropper post. The frame weight is claimed to be 1,814g for a large Fenrir Ti frame, which makes it roughly 33% lighter than a large Fenrir Stainless at 2,730g.

Fenrir Ti framesets start at $3,550, and complete bikes start at $5,120 through their custom bike builder on Otsocycles.com. There, potential customers can customize their build from handlebar type, to wheel size, to tires, drivetrain, and even anodized color accents.
