Even though Paul himself may still be on the fence about the use of a dropper post, that hasn’t stopped PAUL Component Engineering from creating their latest product. While PAUL probably won’t be creating their own dropper post any time soon, they have created their first dropper post remote, the Dropper Trigger.
As usual, the Trigger is made in the U.S. from 6061 aluminum and machined to 0.0005″ tolerance to ensure things are quite precise. Following in the footsteps of WTC in using bearings for the pivot point, PAUL uses dual stacked bearings for perfectly smooth operation.
When it comes to compatibility, the Dropper Trigger should fit most cable actuated posts as it has pinch bolt for cable ends, or a pocket for cable heads to work with either design. A barrel adjust with a steel threaded piece allows for micro adjustments or to remove slack in the line.
Built with a hinged clamp to fit 22.2 bars, the lever has a claimed weight of 40g. The levers are available in four finishes, with black, silver, and purple anodized selling for $86, and the polished version going for $92.
Now if Paul could just remember to use it so his butt doesn’t get confused…
