Whether you’re just looking to increase your safety margin a bit or you want to blow minds, Fiks:Reflective has the stickers for you. The pic above shows what happens when lights hit their reflective sticker strips, which are sized for 700c wheels. This is the black version, but it’s the colors that’ll really make your rods and cones dance…

They’re available in white, black, green, blue, red, yellow, orange and purple. All of the colors are impressively bright when a flash (or headlight) hits them.

The rim packs come in 7mm, 10mm and 14mm depths, and each pack is good for both sides of one wheel. Retail is $15-$17 depending on depth and includes seven bonus stickers.

Of course, there’s no reason you’ve gotta stick with the same color all around, and the segmented decal structure lets you mix and match however you want. The material is weatherproof and should last a good long while once installed.

A “safety” product seemingly marketed for street ridden track bikes without real brakes. Or are all those fixies adopting discs?

JBikes: They’re rim-brake compatible and come in different widths for that reason.

@Darryl.. nice man. You got me with that one 😀

These work reeeeally well for visibility at night! If you have a beater townie for commuting, by all means I’d recommend a set. They do a great job of making your bike stand out during the night.

@JBikes, as long as you have deeper section rims, they sell sticker sets to go inside the brake track. I’ve had a set on my commuter with Velocity Deep Vs for two years now. They fit perfectly and are still highly visible; I just have to wipe off the brake grime that accumulates in the wet winters.

@JBikes – Not quite, the wheel stripes are meant to adhere to the non-braking surface of a wheel so it does require a wheel with a minimal “aero” profile or a wheel without rim braking. I’ve had Fiks on my commuter since they launched on Kickstarter like 3-4 years ago and they’ve held up through lots of miles and wet, snowy Chicago and Pittsburgh winter rides.

onion – I realize that. And I’ll give credit to FIKS. All their marketing materials show bikes with front brakes.

Would love to get those Black decals in dots that can be randomly placed on the wheels. …. hell would even use it as protective tape on my black bike to prevent cable rub……. and then a couple randomly place for the fun of it 🙂
