You probably know Pelago for their bikes, but they’re branching out into new territory with a line of racks, baskets, and… Raskets? Developed in partnership with Restrap, Pelago aims to bring you versatile and useful cargo carriers that work on almost any bike or desired carry location.

Pelago bike racks for utility & commuter bicycles

When we talk about Pelago, it’s typically in reference to their complete bikes. Their latest project, however, is a partnership with Restrap that we previewed last summer  to develop racks to go with bags. Now to expand on that, Pelago is making their own complete series of utility & cargo racks that will work for anything you want to carry. And as a bonus, all are 100% handmade in Yorkshire, England.

Pelago Commuter Front & Rear Racks

The Commuter front rack is meant for a variety of tasks, from daily commuting to longer tours. They’re made of stainless steel and have attachment points for pannier bags.

As an added bonus, the front rack can attach to the Restrap Rando bag using Fidlock magnetic bolts, for quick-and-easy mounting and removal. The rack fits most bicycles with 26″ or 28″ wheels, and sells for €99.

The rear rack has similar stainless steel construction, pannier capability, and versatile mounting.

The rear rack fits both 26″ and 28″ wheel bikes, and sells for €79.

Pelago Rasket

It’s a basket! It’s a rack! It’s a… Rasket?

The Pelago Rasket is the clever combination of a rack and a basket, holding items in the basket or in pannier bags on the side. It has stainless steel construction, and fits most bicycles.

The basket platform can hold up to 5kg, while the sides can each hold another 5kg in pannier bags. It also includes a mounting point for your front light. It’s available now for €110.

Pelago Stainless Steel Basket

The Pelago basket is a more simple design, intended for your small everyday carry items (without the need to attach panniers). While it was originally conceived for Pelago’s Brooklyn bike, it will work on other bikes with similar mounting points.

The basket mounts to the headset on top, and to the front dropout eyelets, or directly to a 10mm axle. Note that the basket requires a 1″ threaded steerer tube and cannot be fitted to a 1 1/8″ steerer tube. It’s available now for €75.

Pelago Utility Front & Rear Racks

Looking for something a little more simple & utilitarian? The Utility Front Rack was designed specifically for the Pelago Brooklyn and Bristol models, but it’ll make a good fit on tons of other bikes. It’s a medium-sized aluminum rack designed to carry boxes, a skateboard, a gym bag, or other medium-sized items.

The maximum weight capacity is 10kg, and it’s made in the same color options as the Bristol and Brooklyn – black, red, light & dark grays. Available now for €59.

The Utility Rear Rack is also made for the Brooklyn and Bristol bike models, though they say it can also work on most bikes with standard mounting points. Max load is 25kg, but they warn that it is not approved for carrying children, adults, or animals.

It’s made of lightweight aluminum, and comes in the same color-match options as the front utility rack. Available now for €45.

any idea if the Pelago Utility Front rack will fit on 2.6inch tyres? I’m looking for a simple rack to help support my handlebar bag for bikepacking and I run 27.5, 2.6inch tyres
