It seems every day there’s a new product meant to improve a bike’s speed, handling, or weight, but the latest offering from Portland Design Works aims for something simpler: personality.
The company just announced the release of a new line of decorative alloy plugs it’s calling Zit Bitz, designed to spice up a bike’s visual appeal and personalize it to the tastes of its rider.

“Does your bike frame or fork have a preponderance of unused threaded eyelets? If you’re not rocking three water bottle cages, front & rear racks, and full-coverage fenders, then you probably have a couple of eyelets to spare.”
These machined alloy bolts can be threaded into any standard bike frame or fork eyelet. They’re anodized with laser designs and come in sets of four bolts, with five different sets that include a range of miniature pictures on each one.
Each set of four is priced at a reasonable $15.
Portland Design Works has become well known for its bike accessories, including a new cargo net and light mount released in March.
