If your kid has mastered a non-powered balance bike, PWR Bikes says their motorized SuperBolt will take their handling to the next level. And, honestly, it’s kinda hard to argue with that logic.

After all, many of the best mountain bikers also hone their high speed skills on motos, so, why not get them started even younger?

The SuperBolt uses an 18-volt brushless motor and swappable batteries to deliver 45-70 minutes of run time depending on which speed you set it on. There are three options – Low, Mid, and Hi.

In Low Speed, young riders can get used to the assist moving them along at up to 5mph. Mid Speed bumps that to 7.5mph, and Hi Speed caps out at 11mph.

Reining it all back in is a rear drum brake with left-hand lever, which is a bit backward for most riders. But the right-hand grip is where the throttle is, so probably best not to put too much control in a single hand for young riders who should be more focused on just learning to control the bike.

I bet with some tweaking you could get top speed over 30

BOO! I’m sure there is correlation between motorized scooters and overweight kids. Get them riding a bike and using their own energy.

This is just horrible. It shouldn’t be referred to as a bike.

Why all the negative comments . If your kid doesn’t like to go fast , fine don’t get one . If you want them to exercise , then let them exercise on a regular bike …… adding speed only allows them to ride stuff they NEVER will ride without it until they get bigger . I’ve got a 5,3 and 1 year old . They have a few different bikes including an electric one like this . They ride things they never have before as we have hills and climbs they can’t ride at 2-3 years old . They are outside riding all the time and not watching crap on TV or phones or iPads like others . Now they have more confidence when jumping back to the other regular bike riding faster and more confidence . Why not give them a bit more confidence to ride trails they can’t ride …. They will only be ahead of the game when they can actually pedal up them. And , again, why not let your kids have some more fun on a balance bike with power …. it’s a bike , it’s tons of fun for them, and they will be outdoors exploring more then they ever have before .

Kids starting with this will never ride a bike that’s not an ebike I’m afraid. I never felt that agressed by a bike product before, but this thing (like Mondraker’s) is total evil

I have taught 5 kids, all under age 5, to ride bikes by starting them on electric balance bikes. It’s easier to get confidence and way better than having kids on training wheels.
All 5 of those kids love being outside and riding nearly anything they can get their hands on.

F1 drivers start racing karts as toddlers. Most motocross and supercross pros start on 50s. This gets them riding even earlier. Watch the ktm juniors program, it just went to electric bikes. Who’s to say future pro mountain bikers and other two wheeled sports kids can’t get an earlier start to skills building with these little rippers?

So much for letting kids learn about how their bodies work and getting stronger through that process.

the UN should vote a binding resolution against this 🙂 I see another step toward less activity for kids (and a way to increase profitability for manufacturers regardless the marketing BS). if one kid likes to run mini-motorbikes, there are plenty of options, leave bikes with a human physical input (and I am not against e-bikes, you still have a human input on the pedals)

Some of these comments are insane. My three y.o. has a StaCyc 12” and my 15 y.o. has a Honda cr 85cc race bike. They also ride bicycles. Both kids are in great shape. As a dirt bike rider, I can attest to a full body workout after riding on a track or trails.
