The new, heat-treated aluminum Ramble Bar is said to be designed around running a pretty large front handlebar bag while also being built to be aggressive and comfortable with its large 65-degree sweep angle.

Wide enough for a large front bag and a nice 65-degree back sweep…I likey.

Kevin Purcell of Golden Pliers designed this bar. It is said that the inspiration for the Ramble Bar came from “digging through the handlebar graveyard/parts bin for new ideas… scheming on something that would be simultaneously shreddy and comfy”.

They are saying that it took years of “fooling around in the woods, tweaking here and there”, to finally release what they call the “ultimate turbo cruiser bar”. Nice.

Golden Pliers x Sim Works Ramble Bar grip and shifter

SimWorks recommends, that in order to make the most of the hook bend in front of the primary grip, you use a brake lever and shifter with a”low-profile/minimal clamp area”. They also say to not be shy about wrapping that hook (shown above), as it is a good spot to grab when climbing out of the saddle.

A 70-90mm stem is said to work great with the bar. SimWorks wants you to know that the bar’s considerable sweep may not pair well with some of today’s modern geo trends of longer top tubes and short-ass stems.

In addition to all of the photos of the bar in a positive orientation, as the dual front logo suggests, it can be flipped and run in a negative orientation. Remember kids, versatility is a good thing.
