Rudy Project is extending the deal originally offered direct to consumers via their website into retail stores, with a few changes.

For one, it’s $1.01 (after shipping) more through the retailer, but you get a warm fuzzy for supporting your local bike shop.. The second change is you get a sweet looking backpack…or do you?  Read “more” to find out…

Looking at the retail order form we got our hands on, it looks like your bike shop/authorized RP dealer can order from six different bags, so if you’re going to order, check out the gear on Rudy’s site, tell you shop you want one of the cool ones, then place your order through them.

With the direct to consumer deal, you only get the backpack option.  The upside with that deal is you get a watch with some of the frames that don’t have replaceable lenses.
