Finding affordable, reliable waterproof gear from proven brands can be a challenge. Showers Pass looks to be celebrating its 25th anniversary by offering exactly that.

The CC Century jacket comes in hi-viz green Artex 2.5-layer seam-taped fabric at MSRP $139, making it their most affordable full-featured rain jacket. The biking-specific build aims to accommodate bent elbows and features 360-degree reflective touches. Riding-accessible pockets, longer sleeves, and a drop tail also add waterproof utility for cyclists.

Showers Pass became Certified Climate Neutral in spring 2021, and the CC Century joins its eco-friendly lineup. “CC” is the brand’s abbreviation for “clean color,” which refers to dyes meant to keep harmful chemicals out of the manufacturing process. The jacket also includes 44% recycled nylon.

Vented armpits and adjustable cuffs finish out the simple jacket. Notably, it does not come with a hood — you’ll have to keep your dome dry with your helmet. Regardless, it’s hard to argue such a modest price point from an established brand.

“When you need a jacket that just works, and is specifically designed for on-the-bike comfort and performance, the Century CC is a perfect choice,” said Jeremy Rider, PR Director at Showers Pass. “We couldn’t be more excited to kick off our 25th year in the cycling industry with this reliably strong, versatile jacket that also takes it easy on your wallet.”
