Following up on the EJ saddle released last year, Germany’s Sixpack Racing have announced their second signature component designed for slopestyle dominator Emil Johansson – the EJ Stem.
The EJ Stem is based on Sixpack’s Millenium stem but Johansson’s signature model is unique, with a slightly different look and a shortened reach. After Johansson rode the whole 2021 season on an EJ Stem, Sixpack has released them to consumers.
While Sixpack’s Millenium stem is 35mm long, the EJ Stem has Johansson’s preferred reach of 31mm. The stem accepts 31.8mm handlebars, and its stack height is 36mm. CNC’d from 7075 T-6 aluminum, the EJ Stem weighs 105g.
Within a lightweight and trim-looking package, the EJ Stem was made strong enough for slopestyle competition, and (of course) it’s compatible with a gyro.
As Sixpack and Johansson both agree our environment is worth protecting, the EJ stem is the first product Sixpack has produced 100% within Germany. The company is beginning to move some of their production closer to home, with the goal of reducing their carbon footprint. Furthermore, with the launch of the EJ stem Sixpack is introducing their ‘Your Part’ label. This label designates which components are entirely produced within Europe, and encourages consumers to do their part for the planet too!
