Spank Industries is adding options to the gravel game with their newest lineup of Wing and Flare products. The Wing 12 and Flare 25 bars use their vibration-reducing Vibrocore technology to smooth out the trails while adding stiffness. On the rim side of things, the Flare 24 uses Vibrocore as the top-end offering, while the Wing 22 is a more traditional and price-friendly rim.

While Vibrocore technology from Spank Industries isn’t new, offering it in a gravel product is. In short, the technology uses a foam injection to reduce vibration, increase comfort, and even increase torsional stiffness. This YouTube video provides a quick overview of how it works:
While Vibrocore has been popular for mountain bikes, Spank thought it was time to expand the offerings into gravel, which can often include rough terrain, washboard pavement, and other vibration-inducing features.
The Wing 12 drop bar has a 12 degree flare, with a short 110mm drop and 70mm reach. It’s offered in 42, 44, and 46cm widths (center-to-center), and weighs 355 – 365 grams. Stem clamp comes in 31.8mm only. MSRP $110.
The Flare 25 drop bar has an aggressive 25 degree flare, along with a short 110mm drop and 65mm reach. Widths at the hood are 42, 44, and 46cm, with weights coming in at 345 – 355 grams. Similar to the Wing 12, it is only available in 31.8mm clamp diameter. MSRP $110.
The Flare 24 Vibrocore rim is a disc-specific, tubeless-ready rim with symmetrical and asymmetric spoke hole options. MSRP comes in at $149.
The Wing 22 rim does not have Vibrocore technology, but comes in at a reasonable $99 per rim. It’s tubeless-ready and disc-specific, with a moderate 22mm inner width. All new Wing and Flare gravel bars and rims are available immediately.
