Besides showing off Olympian Tom Pidcock’s race bike, SR Suntour had a few new and updated suspension forks and rear shocks aimed at everything from all-out Enduro racing to making your XC bike a bit more fun and capable.

Starting at the rear, the TriAir 2 rear shock gets an additional option with an oblong piggyback reservoir. The transverse placement reduces the height, helping it fit into more frames that a traditional piggyback tube wouldn’t clear.

Functionally, it’s the same with options for three-mode compression damping settings and a wide-range high-speed rebound control. Various strokes and lengths are available in trunnion-mount designs.

For shorter travel XC and light trail bikes, their inline EDGE shocks get an EDGE Plus option that uses a larger air canister.

This adds more volume, similar to what the Fox EVOL and Rockshox DebonAir options offer. The idea is to give these bikes a bit more cushioned feel when you don’t need or want a firm, pro-racing feel. Up front, they’re offering new 38mm stanchion versions of their double-crown RUX fork and enduro racing Durolux forks. The forks will come with either their R2C2 or RC2 damping cartridges, with some markets only getting the latest RC2 option. Both also use the latest EQ Air spring design, which debuted on the Auron trail fork earlier this year.

Might be a great option. I have been messing with Fox with massive issues with 2021 and 2020 model year items that they just can not seem to get right. Currently, I think they are just ignoring it and it will go away….might just go away, to RS or now Suntour. 🙂

I guess LiveValve is my solution (according to Fox) but for the fact that something like four bikes support it – and mine aint one of em.

Been using the new Durolux R2C2 36 EQ, set at 170mm on my HT Enduro, actually quite amazing, bang for buck!
