After it was announced that the Sea Otter Classic was being postponed, social media was flooded with people claiming it had been out right cancelled. That is definitely not the case. Instead, Sea Otter Classic President & CEO Frank Yohannan just announced the new official dates for the event.

The 2020 Sea Otter Classic will now be held on October 1-4th, later this year. An updated event schedule will be posted on April 20th, but for the most part everything will remain the same including the venue and races. According to the FAQ section, the Sea Otter Classic is being very accommodating with rolling over existing registrations for races, camping, and exhibitors to the October event or the April, 2021 event with the option of full refunds as well. If you purchased a festival pass, those will also roll over to the October event. If you can’t make it, you’ll receive a full refund if you submit a request in writing to info@seaotterclassic.com prior to April 30, 2020. The same goes for parking passes and Sea Otter Club Passes.

For full details, head over to the Sea Otter Classic page, and check out the note from Frank below:

Dear Sea Otter Classic Supporter,

The new dates for the 2020 Sea Otter Classic will be October 1- 4, 2020.

Other than the date changes, the location and racing schedules for Sea Otter will remain essentially the same. Modifications and updates will be posted on our FAQ page.

All race registrations, camping reservations, festival purchases, and so forth will be shifted to the October dates. If you are unable to attend that event, check the FAQ page for details regarding refunds and rollovers.

Based on many discussions we’ve had with our supporters, we expect the October Sea Otter Classic to be a huge success. We look forward to seeing you then.

Best regards,

Frank Yohannan

President & CEO

Sea Otter Classic Inc.

When/where are we going to see all the new products roll out then? I anticipate Sea Otter more for the new products than the silly racing.
